Our Team

To ensure that we cover each element of bebo effectively, we have split Bebo into 4 points of discussion:

Rachel McDonell has developed a link to this Blog that discusses and critiques the communication aspect of Bebo; and how it can be used as a mean of developing communication skills in and out of the classroom.

Vanessa Carnie is discussing how students can effectively learn how to design/ personalise their own webpage using Bebo and the skills that are developed from this.

Tiffany Ingar has developed a link that establishes how Bebo can be used to create a community of learners.

Catherine Keane is exploring the different medias in relation to Elearning; and how Bebo can be used to as a means of exploring these medias.

Each link belongs to the person that is discussing their topic, theirfore all of the posts made in each link are their own.

Components of Bebo...in relation to Elearning

What is bebo??
Bebo is a social networking website designed to allow friends to communicate in various ways. It has developed into an online community where users can post pictures, write blogs and send messages to one another. there are many aspects of Bebo that can be used as a means of learning in and out of the classroom.

Bebo enables children to experiement with tools for communication; ie emailing and instant messaging, linking classrooms/children around the world, penpals etc.

Bebo is an effective internet tool where children can learn how to use a variety of mediums such as music, videos, computer generated drawing tools and other computer technology developments.

Bebo safety is an aspect of this site, that has been developed to abolish the negativities a tool such as this can create; ie cyber abuse, bullying. Stalkers etc.

Bebo develops a community of learners; by enabling children to share their ideas and critique; meet others their age with similar interests around the world; develop blogs and polls . Children are also provided with the opportunity to create their own personally designed webpage that reflects themselves as individuals.

This Blog will investigate and elaborate on this emergiing technology and how it can be used to enhance learning, it will also analyse the issues surrounding Bebo and how to overcome these.
